Many users of the IMOU HX21 AX3000 Dual-Band Router have faced a problem where the 5GHz Wi-Fi band does not appear on certain devices (Samsung phones, laptops, smart TVs, etc.) while running firmware version 1.0.7.
This happened because the router was limited to lower 5GHz channels (36–48) which are sometimes restricted or unsupported on some devices in Bangladesh.
The solution is simple: upgrade your firmware to version 1.0.8.
🔧 How to Fix the 5GHz Issue
1. Login to Your IMOU Router
- Connect to your HX21 router (LAN or Wi-Fi).
- Open a browser and go to 192.168.10.1.
- Enter your admin login details (default printed on router label).
2. Check Your Firmware Version
- Go to System Settings → Firmware Upgrade.
- If it shows v1.0.7, you need to upgrade.
3. Upgrade to v1.0.8
- Click Upgrade if the update is available online.
- Or download the firmware file from the official IMOU website and upload manually.
- Wait for the router to reboot.
4. New 5GHz Channels Unlocked
After upgrading to v1.0.8, your router will support channels 149, 153, 157, 161, and 165.
👉 These are higher 5GHz channels that are widely supported by smartphones, tablets, laptops, and smart devices in Bangladesh.
✅ Benefits After Upgrade
- 5GHz Wi-Fi now works on all devices (Samsung, Xiaomi, iPhone, laptops, etc.)
- Stronger & faster 5GHz connectivity for gaming, streaming, and downloads
- Better coverage with Wi-Fi 6 (AX3000)
- Stable dual-band performance with less interference
Final Note
If your 5GHz Wi-Fi still doesn’t show:
- Reset the router and reconfigure Wi-Fi.
- Set Wireless → Channel → Auto or select one of the new unlocked channels (149/153/157/161/165).
